Happy thanksgiving
Dear Parents,
Happy Thanksgiving to all of your families! I count myself blessed guarding the spirit and the fearless thirst for knowledge your kids show each session. Here is a description of the work done today:
The class was very successful today in Quantum Mechanics. We continued our discussion of the Free Particle derivation by learning about the basics of what a derivative is and how this relates to the Eigenvalue relationship, which is used to relate the particle and wave nature of particles. We then conducted the glowstick reaction of luminol, and thought through the generic chemistry behind this reaction. Next week we will continue to review the eigenvalue relationship and begin talking about reactions.
I have attached pictures of our Flame Spectroscopy experiment and the video from this chemiluminescence (glowstick) experiment.
