What does the flight of airplanes have to do with how bacteria swim? Our circulatory system with plastics manufacturing? They are all connected by the physics and mathematics behind fluids.

This workshop will explore the mathematics of observing, describing, predicting, unifying, and ultimately manipulating the myriad seemingly unrelated aspects of our world. Students will design their own scientific research program in fluid mechanics to experience the tortuous journey from observations to science, and science to engineering.
