case studies — neurological and psychiatric disorders
On Friday, we went through different case studies of people with different neurological and psychiatric disorders, such as OCD, ADHD, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, autism, dyslexia, and prosopagnosia. We discussed different signs and symptoms of these disorders and their impact on families.
Here is an example for prosopagnosia at the face blind.me site.
After going through all these short snapshots of these disorders, the ladies decided to focus on the following ones in greater detail in upcoming sessions: OCD, dyslexia, prosopagnosia, autism, and ADHD. We’ll focus on the biological basis of these disorders (based on current research), current methods of treatment, and some questions that current research tries to address.
Until next time,
Lily
