Sea Life Closeup

Our last session started with an exploration of seaweed and the sea life entangled and living in it. We observed samples with our eyes, a magnifying glass, and for a truly splendid view we used  a microscope. Finding fish cases, we dissected them to analyze the eggs in them and to learn how some mollusks and fish reproduce. We looked at the kelp and the red seaweed under the microscope and made observational drawings of our finding to learn more. On the fresh seaweed, the girls found live worms, wiggling as they were observed under the microscope! It was an exciting exploration. Next are ecca-food chains!
