The Carbon Cycle.
Today we'll start our Sustainability unit
… with a closer look at the carbon cycle. Through video and discussion we will teach your kids about positive and negative feedback, the various "tipping points" that could drive runaway climate change, and of course, science-driven solutions to the problem! They'll learn an important skill: how to create clear 2D models of complex processes using arrows, clear labels and images, numbered steps, and before-and-after frames. We'll also use a hot plate and a pH indicator to model the thermal expansion of our oceans, and their acidification, as a result of CO2 emissions.
